Thesis Statement and Introduction

From the farmlands of Lancaster Pennsylvania, Milton Hershey had little schooling before he drop out to become an apprentice. At the age of 14 he apprenticed for Joseph Royer, a confectioner that gave Mr. Hershey his first taste at candy making. Milton, at the age of 18 started his first candy business in Philadelpiha, then when that failed within six years he went on to Denver, there he learned how to make caramel with fresh milk, Mr. Hershey left Denver and ended up in New York. Now 28, Milton Hershey went back to Lancaster where he finely became successful. 

 

Topic Selection Post for NHD

  For this years NHD project, I choose Milton S. Hershey because, this man not only made the most famous chocolate products in the world , but he also has a part in Pennsylvania named after him.

  Without his efforts, us today will not have the famous Hershey Bar, Hershey Kisses, Reese's Cups, and Kit-Kat to name a few out of many. We won't have the entertainment of going to Hershey Park in Hershey, PA. Not only for his candy and entertainment, he has a school named after him and  hospital.     

  

Abolition Debate

My debate with Brandon H. was nerves wreaking . Even do I won it was hard he good evidence to support his reasons. I think my strongest point is when told everyone that liberty and pursuit of happiness are just ideals that we have and with that our own meanings. Over all one of the best experience of my life.

Service Learning

On our last service learning meeting we went out to look for place to hand out flayers, card and more thing to warn people of the lead poisoning and children safety.

Finish our survey and set up important dates for our project

Service Learning 3

This week on service learning we got more into the survey and calling people for booklets and schedule trips for us. I got some places where you can get free lead testing. I'm thinking about calling them and having them come over and have a little thing when they come over and test the whole school for lead poisoning that will be fun. Let me talk to ms. Morson about that.

Service Learning 2

We're starting to make a survey to see how much pepole know about the harmful gases, child safty and more.
Next metting we have to coming in with a question for our survey and start working on the first part of the project

Service Learning 1

At the last meeting we talked about fild trips and how to get our massage across, also how to rasie money to do all of that. Some of our idea for our service learning is to pass out fyers at the gallery, put them on cars, and make a comercial with the help of the history channel.

For the next meeting more in on how we'er going to get our massage across and how we'er going to rasie money for our plans.

N.H.D was one of many things i don't want to redo again
it too much work to do and those annataions were a pain in my ass
yo but putting the bored together was fun the work was a big mess
but maybe next year it wont be since i know what to do now

To Mr. R

I think i should at least get a C in your class for the reasons that fallow this. I worked hared, but near the end I started slacking. I never meet a teacher that explained the work as Carly ass you did, that help me write good work before, like I hope this one. Also one thing I learned at C.H.S that reminds me of my last school, you don't give up on your students and you pushed me to finished your work even doe it was like weeks late. So to sum up this latter to you I wold like to say THANK YOU! ! ! ! for all u done to help me do my best and nothing least. I hope next year would be even better then this year. Oh I forgot about I want the C. Well i hope this letter persuade to help me get that C.

Booker T. Washington Bio 

 One of the well known man in history is Booker T. Washington. He was born in 1886 in a part of Virginia, now known as West Virginia today. As he got older he worked in the salt furnaces and coalmines. He enroll himself at the Hampton Institute.

 Booker wrote a book but many African Americans in the north didn't agreed with his theory, that they should focus on the economics of the country but they also want to focus on the country politics. Soon after he recited a speech called "The Atlanta Address". In his speech he talks about how blacks and whites are alike and how they can make this country a better place if they worked together. 

 Booker T. Washington went down in history as the grates African American of his time
